Well, only two people voted in the "Favorite Horse Movie" poll. Michelle voted for Seabiscuit and my son Wade Daniel voted for "Dreamer" which happens to be my favorite movie as well. I was hoping for more votes, but so did Hillary.
Oh, well.
Today is June 8 and if your Birthday is today you share your day with: Nancy Sinatra (singer - "These Boots Are Made For Walking"), Joan Rivers (comedian), Jerry Stiller (comedian and father of Ben Stiller), Barbara Bush (wife of George H. Bush and mother of George W.), Robert Preston (actor - "The Music Man"), and Frank Lloyd Wright (architect)

Sorry about the low voter turnout. Probably just too short a time while everyone was busy.
By the by, which is your and Mom's favorite?
For a purely entertaining movie about a horse and a very positive family movie, I agree with you on "Dreamer." For a beautiful scenery movie and elements of horse training I like "The Horse Whisperer." Finally, for a good come from behind movie that's also true, you can't beat "Seabiscuit." If I could only watch one of those I would pick "Dreamer."

Yeah, I don't know why more people don't participate in the polls. I'm always disappointed myself. When I complained that my own mom didn't vote, she said it wouldn't let her. I have to believe her because it wouldn't let me. Maybe others have the same problem. Where are TJ and Mark? They must have done something fun for the weekend or else they would have participated. We'll keep trying our polls and our selfish readers will keep ignoring us. I guess it builds our character. :) Love ya
Are you guys talking about the kid movie, Dreamer? I remember being disappointed in that. Refresh me on the plot. Man, something's wrong with the ol' brain. I think I'll go drink a glass of water and see if that brings a few cells back to life. Was Dreamer where she buys the horse and wins the race? If so, I like that one. If it's the one where the moody teenager rides the wild horse--the one where Tim McGraw sings, I wasn't as impressed. Love
Nope, the "Dreamer" we're talking about has Kurt Russell as the trainer father, Dakota Fanning as his daughter, and Kris Kristopherson as the grandfather who was also a trainer. The rehabilitate a race horse, Sonador, who eventually wins the big race. At the same time Kurt Russell rehabilitates his relationship with his dad. It is a great show about families and it has minor, occasional Christian references.
Thanks for the encouragement. I doubt if I'll mess with a poll again.

I like that Dreamer--very good movie! Sorry, I told you I can't keep my plots straight.
I wanted the record to state that I was really voting for the book Seabiscuit, not really the movie. The movie was actually a big let down for me.
I am now changing my vote to Dreamer. :) How bout you redo the poll and do a little blurb about all the plots. ;) Love ya
Oh, and very funny Hillary joke. In all my psycho commenting, I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed that! :) I'll try and stop commenting on this post now. Love
Maybe you should have a poll for the WORST horse movie ever...
Tj... Well,I would have voted but we were on the road. I love both Seabiscuit and Dreamer, but my favorite horsey kind of movie is "Man From Snowy River" with the wild Brumbie.
